I own basically every book by Neil Gaiman. I don’t own any comic books or any of the picture books for younger children, but since my last purchase including The Graveyard Book and Odd and the Frost Giants, I have and have read every novel and collection. Including today’s review, American Gods.
American Gods is going to be read quite a lot next month, because starting May 5th, there will be one big book club on Twitter. A few days ago the voting for #1b1t, or One Book, One Twitter. Twitterers nominated and then voted on the book they wanted everyone on Twitter to be reading, and American Gods came out on top.

Once upon two months ago I reviewed the first three books in Helen Dunmore’s Ingo quartet. I recently was able to purchase the fourth and last book, The Crossing of Ingo, and have since finished it. Let’s dive in.

The Thief

So far in this little Thief miniseries we reviewed a kid who never really stole anything, and another who stole only books. This week we’ll be taking a look at a more traditional thief from a very traditional tale.
Once upon a hundred and fifty-seven years ago, a man named Howard Pyle was born. I don’t expect you to recognise the name. He was an American illustrator, but he wrote a bit too. What he’s most famous for isn’t drawing or original writing though, but an adaptation.
